  1. I have had plantar fasciitis for several years. I've been service connected (prior to the plantar fasciitis) with both lumbar and cervical degenerative disc, and both knees (instability) at 10%. I believe the issues have changed my gate and a few years ago my feet began to overpronate, which is the same time i started having feet problems. Has anyone seen trying to secondary connect the Plantar Fasciitis to the back and/or knee injuries. I realize a doctor would have to agree and provide evidence, just seeing what you all have seen. Thanks.
  2. I recently submitted a supplemental claim for two issues I was previously denied for--and let it go over a year with appealing. I am waiting on a medical report and will be filing a new claim for a new never filed for condition. If I do the new claim now (while the supplemental's are going through the process) will it slow things down...for either claim? Should I just wait for the decision on the supplemental and then do the new claim? Or does it not matter. Thanks
  3. I will try to keep this from getting too confusing. I claimed and was denied back in 2013 for TMJ and Bruxism. I had NO idea what I was doing and didn’t have any evidence (or even an official diagnosis for that matter). Fast forward to now and I do have a diagnosis for TMJ and severe Bruxism. I have PTSD and cervical spine service connected at 20%. I never even got a C&P exam back in 2013. When I was still on active duty in 2009 after leaving Iraq I saw a military dentist who stated in my SMR “severe Bruxism”. I was then seen by a VA dentist a few months later who presc
  4. I was just seeing if anyone has utilized Dr. Todd Finnerty (Psychologist) for a Nexus letter and if so how things went. Thanks.
  5. I filed three claims, an increase for tbi, increase for migraine, and a new claim for tdiu. VA.gov shows claim complete and ebenefits show tbi increased from 40 to 50 percent, but nothing on the migraine and tdiu claims. Ebenefit shows no pending claims for claim status. Does this mean that tdiu and migraine increase were denied? Also shows notification being sent.
  6. I know this type of question has been asked over and over, but my searches did address some questions i had. Been off active duty for about 9 years and was diagnosed with OSA in 2017 (CPAP prescribed). I would like to attempt to file for the OSA. I have PTSD, bilateral knee (10% each), and degenerative disc in my back and cervical neck ratings. While on active duty I never received a sleep study, but have a couple of buddy letters attesting to showing symptoms (gasping for air, excessive snoring, etc..) of sleep apnea while on active duty in Iraq. I do have a memorandum for record fr
  7. Hi.. I need help on getting records from a closed army hospital... My brother was there a few years after he left service... I think it's keeping him from getting his claim approved... Thanks for any help
  8. I had a C&P with LHI on 19 Oct. I asked my VSO what the status is, does it look good. The VSO said she would send me the C&P results and i could maybe make a determination. The VSO said the claim would be settled in 4 weeks in December. Sound like she didn't want to give me bad news. What do you think?
  9. I have a rating of 40% on my lower back from 1995 , I have submitted MRI showing that my uppper spine now has degenrative arthritis which has caused additional pain. They claim that the two has nothing to do with one another and thats why i have been denied the four times i submitted my claim. What can i do to show that my lower spine is associated with whats going on with my neck and upper back? My primary doctors also submitted paperwork showing now i can barely function and need a house keeper to help me out with day to day chores. Any information at this point would be helpful.
  10. Good day fellow Veterans. I live in Mi. My remand i found today was Sent back to V.A. reg June 2020. At this point im at 17 months Waiting. Bva judge orignal state was v.a. detroit failed to give me tdiu from 2012 when my file and many c&ps show i qualified? So.judge remand was Tdiu not moot and v.a. in 2018 granted me 100% i have multiple disabilities. My question is 1. I live in Mi. Why would bva send remand back a second time to salem, Mass. When my files and c&p's Were conducted in Mi.?
  11. Hi, and thank you all for any help. I am currently at 40% and recently applied for Insomnia as a secondary condition. The CP exam ruled in my favor, but the VA said the Insomnia is caused by headaches which is a current secondary condition.I was denied. And to make matters a bit worse, I asked for an increase for my headaches and sent in medical paperwork to show it got worse. The CP exam there showed in my favor they were getting worse, yet the VA sent me a request for evidence to continue the rating. I wrote on my statement I have headaches, but its the tinnitus which keeps me up. My doc
