This may seem like an odd question, but for those who recently (meaning last 3-6 months) got a positive decision on their claim and got their BBE. Did they literally get a Big Brown Envelope, or has it changed to a White one? and how long before you got the envelope. Here is why I ask. Holllie Greene posted a question in VA Disability Compensation Benefits Claims Research ForumHey All, Hope all is well. Quick question: I found out thru the RO my BBE was sent 22 DEC, hmmmm, nothing yet. I know it takes 7-10 days but this is weird. Should I call the RO on Monday or the Peggy # if not in mail tomorrow? Thank you.
So the VA completed my claim and increased my compensation. There is one problem, there are many conditions that disappeared from the original claim that are all over my service records. Also received retro, but not nearly what I have calculated. Any ideas? Increased from 20% --> 50%. Many things were rated as non-service connected even though they are clearly indicated in my records and the initial injuries happened on Active Duty. I'm just trying to wrap my head around this all.
It's now been over two seeks since my claim was decided, can anyone tell me how long you had to wait for your award letter, big brown envelope, etc.? Thank you!
