Hello, everyone! I've been on this site reading all the valuable information while I waited for my new claims to process. A local VSO initiated my intent to file, back in March of this year, and I brought in all of the requested documents for an appointment on July 11. This is when the file was formally submitted to the VA. I had two new claims. I was given two C&P appointments, for each issue...one in July, and the other in August. I called Peggy to find out the status, last Thursday, and I was told that my file had been updated that very day. It appeared there was a rating decision, but I would have to wait for the BBE to find out the details. I checked the site again, a few days later. I finally could see that I had been rated (at 70%) for one issue, but the second issue (bilateral pes planus) had been deferred. On Ebenefits, the entire claim, it appeared, went from "preparing for notification," back to the "gathering evidence" stage. When I called for an explanation, I was told that it possibly needed another signature, but Peggy wasn't for sure. Peggy also said that, according to the notes, there was nothing that the VA needed from me. Today, my Ebenefits account was updated, and it had new information. The new information was put under claim status as "Request 2: Award returned to local VSR for correction." (I inserted a link below to a screenshot of my claim status.) Is anyone familiar with this issue and can explain what it means? Screenshot of claim status
Hello. I'm totally new here, although I did a fair bit of reading on this site during my claim process (thanks very much for the info!). Anyhow, recently my claim finished up with an 80% combined rating. All in all it was very quick, just a few months. I only put in a claim for 2 conditions, a shoulder issue and depression. The depression came back for 70%, 20% on the shoulder. During the process, my claim bounced back and forth from pending approval to awaiting decision. During that time they also decided to add on surgery scars for my shoulder, which got a 0% rating. On Saturday, July 16th ebenefits updated with my decision and about a week later I got the actual letter in the mail. So there's the background. I left eBenefits alone after that and then decided randomly to take a look in there today. In doing so, I noticed something odd in the disabilities section. For some reason under Pending Disabilities, there is a listing of "Quality Review Correction", submitted 7/19, type of "REP", and nothing under Action. Does anyone happen to have an idea what this may mean? Am I at some risk for a sort of retroactive reduction in my rating? I just feel a bit tense as I had thought this was all over for a while but now this. If anyone has at least some idea of what it could mean, that would really help relieve my concerns. Thanks. :)
How can I go about correcting a mistake made by the TBI assessment I had in 2011-12. They MIS-QUOTED ME when they entered into my record "...his depression started in 2010 when he fell of ladder". What I said was that "my depression worsened" after said accident and that I eventually approached VA for mental health assistance in 2011. My depression had been ongoing all of my adult life, caused by TBI manifestations that I was unaware of for +40yr. I took St. John's Wort for ~20yr, trying to feel better. To make a long story short... When I finally got my TBI rated after 40yr (40% +10% Tinnitus), the VA denied my SC depression rating because of the ^ above ^ misinformation. How do I get this error in my STRs corrected? A CUE? Or is there another way? FWIW, neurological depression is NOT the same as a stress induced depression, but the run of the mill general psychiatrists have just been treating me with happy pills and nothing else. They even REFUSE to look at additional evidence I have to show this. They just want me to go away.
