  1. Greetings to all of my brothers and sisters in the wonderful world of veterans. I have been a member on here for awhile but, would only coming in to see how things would work and gathering information. A little bit about myself first. As you can tell perhaps by my screen name, I was a Sergeant of the Marine Corps. I'm currently 35 yrs old with one 10 month old son who is my world, from South Georgia and live in Atlanta, Georgia. I was enlisted from Jun 97-Dec 04. I have served with some of the most elite and skillful people I can go on and on about. I have a good number of deployments and a fe
  2. I used to work for the VA as a C&P psychologist. I like to help veterans learn about the process, especially C&P exams, so that you can receive the benefits you deserve. I am not a veteran. And, like most Americans, I have the utmost respect and gratitude for you brave men and women who put your life on the line to protect our great country. Best regards, Henry
  3. I do graphic design. I am a born-again Christian. I need healing from what I have been diagnosed with or have Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (I use oxygen). It is considered tobe a fatal disease. Not one that many have heard of. I am trying to promote awareness for Pulmonary Fibrosis. I have had it for over 5 or 6 years now. Each day I have episodes of suffocating (low oxygen levels though I use the oxygen) and coughing. I worked at Fort Irwin in California fueling helicopters and planes with JP-8 fuel. I now have idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis and was wondering if I might have gotten it from
  4. Greetings, fellow vets! I'll be posting here as "Snake Eyes" -- not the Marvel Comics GI Joe character. I earned the name because of an eye problem that cause people to wonder who I'm talking to. A fellow soldier slapped that nickname on me back in the 70s and it stuck. I'll share my VA journey as appropriate in the forums... I just wanted to say, "Hi" and introduce myself. I retired in 1992 after 21 years in the army. Half in signal and half in public affairs. I just received an award letter rating me at 90% -- on a claim I submitted upon retirement from the army. Because the denial
  5. Hello everyone, I've been a lurker here for a while (surfing in and out while googling) and wanted to join as I am in need of some answers to some questions about my initial disability claim... I am former active duty Army (signal soldier) who is making claims primarily in two areas (my hearing - due to my MOS, I was an 05C, Ratt rig operator) and for conditions related to surgery on my foot at Ft. Campbell, (and secondary conditions related to that surgery). I have a few specific questions, but I won't get into them here as I just wanted to say "hi!" and give you a bit of background on
  6. Hello everyone. I just turned 31 last month, and I spent 8 years in the US Army Reserves. (2 Active, 4 Reserve Drilling, 2 Inactive Ready Reserve) I spent almost a year in Baghdad (Camp Slayer) back in Apr 03 to Feb 04 on various MCTs running missions all over Iraq. I was activated and attached to a unit out of Georgia in the early days of Feb 03. Got my REFRAD in Oct 04. Honorable Discharge Aug 09. 100% SC effective 1 Sept 13. Retro to 1 Aug 11. Working on a 04 retro. Great to be here.
  7. Hello I am Treymon. I am a disabled Persian Gulf Veteran of the USN and have, through the years, from 1993 to the present, been represented by the DAV, Texas Veterans Commission, Private Attorney and lately by the American Legion. I am currently rated at 50% service connected and 110% overall disabled. I apologize for this being rather lengthy. I have never seen my c-file until recently this last May, for 30 minutes, to address a untrue derogatory enrty from a P.A. from the office of the Neurosurgeon that performed my lower back fusion and laminectomy that I was fee serviced to, by the VA.
  8. Hello all, I am a Navy veteran, served from September 11th 2001 to September 11th 2005. I was an Aviation Boatswain's Mate (Equipment) 3rd Class Petty Officer aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln and deployed 3 times. I am a veteran of Operation Southern Watch, Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. In 2003-04 I sustain an injury to my left shoulder during pre-flight operations on the catapults. It was a pretty good shoulder tear at the time, after I had destroyed the rotator cuff on my right arm just months prior. I was put on LLD for a while and sent through rehab and all
  9. Just saying hi. I am new to hadit.com. I hope to be of help to people in need of it--if I know the answers anyway, lol. It's good to see this is out there. I am 80% disabled (70%-Bipolar II, 20% Cervical Strain, 20% Thoracic DJD, 10% Radiculopathy of lower extremity). Hope all of you are well and are having a great Friday! :-)
