Mabuhay! Josh Hicks has an article https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/federal-eye/wp/2014/06/27/investigators-va-clinic-in-philippines-used-unapproved-drugs/ - Manila OPC was apparently dispensing controlled drugs (dangerous drugs like Schedule III/IV) from 1991 until 2013 - the drugs were purchased locally in the Philippines and were not FDA approved. Important: Please can anyone let me know if you were affected? Help Others Who Should Receive Compensation: Or do you know anyone who had new conditions or died after being treated with those unapproved controlled meds by Manila OPC? Thanks if you can help - God Bless.
To start off: Born 1987 Seoul South Korea (Immigrated at 6 months) US Air Force Active Duty (March 2005 to July 2007) E-3 (3P051) Security Forces Stationed in Malmstrom AFB (Montana) and Incirlik AB (Turkey) Placed on TDRL Status July 2nd 2007. Permanently Medically Retired (TDRL finalized Oct 2010) Entered VA December 2007 at 70% VA Increase August 2010 to 80% Listed as OIF-OEF Veteran (3 years after they said I was approved)....can I get this extended past my end date of 2007 July)...it's 5 years right? Since then married filipina now divorced. Moved back overeas to the Philippines. Going back to college on Voc Rehab and 9/11 Living Allowance Benefits (1st Term of 2013...January). School is different here. College is getting accredited. C.I.E. Mabolo Cebu Philippines. International Strategic Marketing. Requesting records to file any new claims for benefits. One is rated currently at 60% and total of 80% Combined. Looking for VSO or VRO in the Philippines to help me file a TD combined claim and win. Had my first appointment getting my files transfered from VA Fort Harrison to Regional Manila Office. May 10th (Benefits Appointment) May 16th (Initial PCM Appointment) May 22th (Specialty Care VA Manila) My records have been messed up and slowly being corrected as most vets deal with. I was discharged around the Walter Reed fiasco and was PRP Nuke if that holds any interest. Now 25, divorced, screwed up knee surgery thanks to the Va and constantly ignoring the complaints. At least I got my College Benefits and decent compensation. Anyone else in the Philippines my age?
