I am a veteran serving active duty army in Camp Hovey, South Korea from 1994-1995. I had hip injury while working in the motorpool and had to go to Yongsan to go see a bone specialist who then sent me to a civilian hospital in Seoul for a bone scan. The problem is that I tried to put in a claim for hip problems, there is no record of my procedure anywhere in my medical records. As a result, they denied my claim in 1996 and said until I find those records, I'll never have it service-connected. FMP guidelines say I can get emergency care for conditions that 'aggravate' my primary service disability condition, which is Depression. Question then. Untreated sickness of any kind would reasonably aggravate my depression, therefore I can get treatment for any sickness I develop overseas. Is this correct?
Should the VA be billing my Federal Employee Health Benefits Plans? I'm 80% SC for approximately five years, just recently approved TDIU P&T w/ retro back to September 2011, and a medicare recipient. My wife handles the bills and she asked me this same question. She further states the VA has been billing my FEHB Plan since September 2010. At least back to my initial award of 80% SC. I've always been in Priority Group 1 and I know the VA doesn't bill Medicare.
Hi everyone, I am just seeking information about possible assistance due to the need for my husband to relocate due to medical reasons.
