  1. An email from the director of Service Dog Express, San Antonio TX, whom I have been working with sent me this by email: Chuck - I tried to post on the FB site, wouldn't let me. I tried to message it, wouldn't let me. Tried to register, said I didn't type the number one correctly. I give up. If you can post this information, please do. I am a Service Dog trainer in San Antonio, TX - www.servicedogexpress.com. We mainly train Service Dogs for veterans with PTSD and TBI. I am working closely with Congressman Pete Gallego and Senator John Cornyn. What I need are letters/emails from veterans explaining why they feel the VA should pay or reimburse for Service Dog training, veterinary care, etc., for disabled veterans who could be helped, from the reputable organization of their choice. You may send emails/letters to laurie@servicedogexpress.com. Thank you. She was trying to get that information to everyone here... Because of a discussion with my VA psychologist (her suggestion), my social worker, and my primary care physician, I have been on a quest to get a service dog for the past few months. I have a few other issues, but primarily PTSD, Anxiety, and Depression, with which I have been diagnosed. Here in the Rio Grand Valley of Texas, News Channel 4, "Action 4 News" at valleycentral.com, heard about my situation and fund raiser. Since the news reporter got involved the VA has been working very hard to get a service dog to assist me with treatment rehab and just living again. I pick up my dog on Saturday. She is a Rottie, weighs @70 lbs, very gentle and sweet, and is already public access trained. I will be working with the personnel from Service Dog Express for the remainder of her training to meet my specific needs.
  2. I currently have 20% rating. I first received 10% in 2005 when I got out of active duty then in about 2010 after reopening claim it went to 20%. At that time I didn't understand how the process went. This time around I was considering getting a lawyer through allsup.com or fight4vets.com. I wanted know others experience. I was told it helps the process and time frame. What do you guys think?
