  1. This past Friday I received a decision from Department of Veterans Affairs Regional Office regarding a NOD that I had filed nearly two years ago. In October of 2016, I was awarded benefits at 70% retroactively from 2010. About 4 months prior to actually being approved, I requested that I be awarded TDIU as well. After all the dust settled, I was awarded TDIU back to June of 2016. However, my original claim was from January of 2010. As a result, I sent in a NOD requesting that TDIU be retroactive back to 2010. I was just mailed a letter from the VA stating that "Entitlement to an earlier e
  2. I had filed a claim that was denied based that it was not service connected. However, I found 3 places in my medical records that show otherwise. I am already past my appeal cut off date. I am going to put it in again. If they approve it this timee will they go back to the original start date, or is there some other paperwork for that? Thanks in advance.
  3. So just a general question that I have not actually had a firm answer on. I was given a letter stating my award for 50% disability from the VA. They are reviewing new claim items for a new rating but here is the question. I received my retroactive pay of 836.13$ on July 15. Now, is that the start of my monthly payments or single payment for the time being. My claim filed May 3, and if it's back pay then that's for June from what I understand. So again, with he retroactive pay, will I get paid again starting Aug 1?
  4. Hello, This is my way of introducimg myself to the Hadit community as a whole. I only surf forums and give opinions and such to things that relate to me personally and my Battle with the VA I wanted to get not only all of these tags talked about, but i would hope to be able to at least get all of those abbrvs broken down for the people that come to this site in need I have noticed a lot of us old hats talk to each other in a comfortable, approachable, yet sometimes maybe even un-understandable to those who aren't in our War with the Rap-i um, mean Rating Officers Some

  6. Hello, I had three apeals for effective dates close on Jan 29, 2016. I received a letter from BVA on Feb 8, 2016 stating they were granting an earlier effective date for my 100% service connection. The original effective date was 2/03/2013 and now it's 2/04/2012. So my question is how long should I expect it to take for retroactive to hit my account? I've won one other appeal through BVA in 2010 for my 50% rating and retroactive hit within 3 weeks of the claim closing. My claim is flagged with hardship. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you!
  7. I was proposed to be incompetent, so I presented all the evidence possible to convince the V.A. that although my injuries are extensive; I am competent. I waited for about 1 1/2 years for the V.A. to decide that I am in fact able to handle may own affairs and rate me "competent". According to the letter I am rated as competent and I shall continue to receive my full payment. However, I have not received any back payment or retroactive payment. When I called the Hot Line they told me that it will take between 10-45days to process. It is now 97days later and I still have not seen any action take
