2014 Claims (REOPENED)
Sailorman posted a question in Entitlement - Veterans Compensation Benefits Claims
I was discharged from Navy in 1996. I have theater service but the VA did not apply my wartime service towards my presumptive disabilities. This error has caused the VA to deny my many benefits. Most recently, my Specially Adapted Housing Grant and Specially monthly compensation claims that were denied in 2014. I recently requested for the VA to reopen based on N&M evidence (being my evaluations proving that I was in desert storm at that time.) Subsequently, both claims were reopened. Does this mean both were both will be granted and rated? -
Long time reader, first time posting. Confused about SMC. 100% SC P&T scheduler. Confused because in my last letter RO sent form 21-526 but no explanation if I should complete. I still have 2 unrated claims for lumbar spine and sciatica - which are currently rated at 0% service connected. Been through a C&P for both. Would I qualify for SMC? 60% CAD - heart -hypertensive heart disease 50% Sleep Apnea 30% Lft Ventrical - heart 30% Migraines 30% Bilateral Plantar Fasciatas 20% Prostatitas 10% Hips 10% lft shoulder 10% rt shoulder 10

I've looked through all kinds of past postings on SMC, to include Asknod's information. However, I could not answer this one question: Do two qualifying SMC-S bump a veteran up to SMC-L? [example- 100% P&T + 60% + 60%, separate body functions] THANKS
