Divorce and VA disability?
Ronc531 posted a question in VA Disability Compensation Benefits Claims Research Forum
I have a couple questions, Disclaimer: I know you are not Attorney's and your answers are not legal answers, but I think there has been a few people on here that may have experience with these questions. It seems like I get different answers when I google this but is VA disability counted as income in a divorce? Alomony? Is SS retirement or disability counted as income in a divorce? I think my wife can draw off of mine SS but does it take away from what I receive. Opinion on SS disability, I am 90% VA disabled, 60% rt knee replacement 20% neuropathy in both feet,10% -
Does anyone have any info on va disability buyout companies or places that loan disabled veterans small loans? Already tried bank and credit unions and they wont reconize my va disability as income.

I have been rated 80% with TDIU since 2013. I recently attended my 5 year re-evaluation for PTSD. My exam results showed up on Myhealthyvet today, but I shouldn't get a decision until June or July according to VA.gov. I just wanted to know what you guys thought my rating "MAY" be based on this C&P. Of course, my PTSD and MDD are firing at max speed right now worrying about it. My concern is the part where the Dr says "Moderately Severe" PTSD and depression. I have heard stories about the raters pulling small words like that out and using them for a reason to reduce benefits.

ramp RAMP over 125 days
CA84VET posted a question in VA Disability Compensation Benefits Claims Research Forum
VA received my RAMP appeal on March 13 and still no answer after 142 days. Is this unusual? Any STATS out there on how long some of them go over? Peggy gives me different answers every time I call in beginning with very few go over the 125 to at 135 days if you don't get a letter in 30 days call us back. Nothing worthy on vets.gov My VSO is clueless and gives me only what I get myself. What is the point of RAMP if there is no real deadline at all, not even a few days over?- 2 replies

My claims process.....
crawma posted a question in VA Disability Compensation Benefits Claims Research Forum
My claim has been bounced around in a million directions (from what I read/hear is normal) but on 28 August, my claim moved to "pending decision approval" I had called the VA office about the status of it since eBenefits was not working. The guy was nice and told me that this is usually the quicker part of the claim that a decision was made but it was going to require 2 supervisor signatures and was usually a 1-2 day turn around UNLESS they find an error. For background purposes, my claim was started in February 2018, I had 23 different conditions claimed, by May 2018 I had completed 4 ex- 5 replies

Hi, I am new to this forum but from what I read here I am very gratful it exists. So 6 months before I ETSed I submitted my 1st VA claim from the suggestion of my sergeant major. When I initiate the claim I was getting reoccuring calluses on both of my feet. The VA wrote down calluses as the actual symptom and they give me 0%. This was in 1998. Technically I have one medical record from February in 1998 stating I had pain and calluses on both feet and the actual c&p exam was done in July of 1998 Later in 1999 after further x-rays and tests at the VA they realize that

I separated from the U.S. Navy on October 10, 2016. I submitted a va claim on March 29, 2018. I have already attended all of my appointments, and submitted all of the required documents. Today as I was checking the status of my claim on ebenefits, I saw my VA disability verification letter. The letter stated that my combined evaluation was at 60%. However, according to the benefits, the my claim is still being reviewed, and I haven't received any official letter by mail. The letter also stated that I would be receiving $1,182.52, with the effective date of disability as December 1, 2017

I was diagnosed with Antiphospholipid anitbody syndrom and had two miscarriages and one of them was a stillborn baby. I recently had a successful pregnancy which was only due to daily injections of heparin an lovenox (blood thiners). Is this condition subject to disability compensation? If so, what would it be filed under? Please help.

VA state General Counsel
Richard Ash posted a question in Entitlement - Veterans Compensation Benefits Claims
Help! I am being told by Dennis Shepherd, General Counsel for the Kentucky VA that I may NOT contact either my local VA rep OR my Regional Admin. I have had 2 claims denied, ( First because they checked the Navy and they said I had not been exposed to ANY radiation, then the AIR FORCE said same ) I was ARMY 1973-79. 1 appeal denied with no reason given, and today my NOD was denied. Said they could find no record of my service in any of the armed forces. My DD214 shows every detail of where I was stationed and my MOS. So my question is: Can the VA General Counsel stop me from talking to th- 9 replies

Hello forum, I am writing behalf of someone I love dearly. Service member is retired Army, served 23 years and upon retirement was diagnosed with a blood disorder, Polycythemia Vera, later Myelofibrosis, and based on my research it is likely that leukemia will be next. Service member has filed for VA disability based on what is believed to be a service connected disease. Service member MOS dealt with microwaves, thus greater exposure to RF. Service member served as NBC NCO. Because of the rarity of this disease it poses difficulty in presenting a case. I have been doing research
