This is how they worded it residuals of traumatic brain injury with cognitive disorder, short term memory losses/lapses, difficulty sleeping, problem solving with PTSD (to include cerebral contusion with diffuse axonal injury to bilateral frontal and temporal lo lobes. All they added was the words with PTSD which was at 70% before now 70% with the PTSD. How can they lump physical and Mental health all in one rating?
The call was to tell me my TBI is getting another review with PTSD and migraines to see if they can increase it instead of going the TDIU I said ok. Can you do Saturday I said sure she said ok your set then for your review o wait this is for a TBI. This doctor isn't certified for TBI just PTSD she said she will have to call me back. I said call me back so I'm not hanging if you didn't find anyone. This was 3 hours ago don't they look into this before they call me? Anyone know anyone in the Philadelphia or Delaware certified to separate TBI's and PTSD from each other? VA will drag feet before I get it from them this is after my claim has been expedited.
I was proposed to be incompetent, so I presented all the evidence possible to convince the V.A. that although my injuries are extensive; I am competent. I waited for about 1 1/2 years for the V.A. to decide that I am in fact able to handle may own affairs and rate me "competent". According to the letter I am rated as competent and I shall continue to receive my full payment. However, I have not received any back payment or retroactive payment. When I called the Hot Line they told me that it will take between 10-45days to process. It is now 97days later and I still have not seen any action taken by the V.A.. As I continue to call them, they state that I do rate a large sum for my retroactive pay but, no one knows who to contact. I am at a loss. I don't know who to contact to get this moving or why it is taking them so long. Does anyone have experience with this.....? I really just want to pay the bills that stacked up while I could not work and had no way of paying..... I am not trying to build a savings account. Please anyone advise.
MRmonkey posted a question in VA Disability Compensation Benefits Claims Research ForumFolks, Hello. I have been medically retired now for 2 years. I have been paid CRSC for those two years. As my appeals keep getting approved by the VA, My CRSC keeps being adjusted. My final appeal has just been approved, and I am at 100%. My last approval from the VA informed me the VA is calculating my CRSC. In 4 boxes on the award and payment start date section it says: Combat Related Special Compensation adjustment. I have only ever worked with the US HRC at Ft Knox when dealing with CRSC. What would be the reason that the VA is doing this? I fully understand what happens between retired pay, VA compensation and the offset of CRSC regarding all pay concerned. I called DFAS, and they informed me that they Pay CRSC. I try to tell them that I understood, and why is the VA trying to pay that to me. I asked her why DFAS did not send a letter to explain the previous CRSC adjustment. She informed me that no actions were taken by DFAS to adjust the entitlement. I then asked her why my CRSC increased by $200, and she could not tell me. I called the VA, and they told me that they do not do CRSC, and to call DFAS. Has anyone seen this before? What do I do beside make my VSO pull the rest of his hair out?
