I finally decided to go ahead and get a service officer. I signed my POA last week and mailed it to him. This morning I emailed him and asked him if he had received it. He told me he had and that he had turned it in and requested to see my file. I told him that was fine as long as it did not slow down the process and that I had C&Ps done in March here is his reply.
"It will not slow down adjudicating your claim. The process on 99% of the claims is 11-14 months from the date that it was established. The C&P is electronically requested, printed out and added to your file folder. It then goes back to the file cabinet until the adjudicator starts working the month that the claim was filed and the digits assigned to him/her."
