Allan you seem to be up on this sh1t pretty good. My first 8 years in I was constantlly exposed to stuff like

zinc chromate paint

red lead paint

blue 117 paint

pd680 dry cleaning solvement

hydraulic fluid

where can I find out the real chemical etc used in these ?

I remember dipping my arms in pd680 dry cleaning fluid up to my elbows..............never no personal protective equipment, no such thing back in the 70's early 80's. Go topside get some fresh air was the only personal protective equipment we had.

Hello Boats,

I spent a little time as a deck ape. If the chromate & red lead didn't do it, chipping & grinding on that non skid coating will.

Once it's in the sinuses, it can cause problems throughout the body.
