Question

Hi everyone,

I don't know whether this has been discussed here or not but I tried to find it but to no avail.

Did you know that Osteoarthritic is listed as a cause of carpal tunnel syndrone. I read "In fact, most studies now strongly suggest that carpal tunnel syndrome is primarily associated with medical or physical conditions such as diabetes, osteoarthritis, hypothyroidism, and rheumatoid arthritis.

Perhaps those of you who have osteoarthritis and carpal tunnel and diabetes maybe this can be a link.

What do you think, has anybody here on hadit heard of this, or have tried using it?

Thanks!

Huh... can you post a link to the article.... depending upon the study, I'd say that it could be used if the conclusion is sound etc. I have seen several service connection for arthritis due to DMII or diabetes approved. Interesting.

Osteoarthritis link to Carpal tunnel Syndrome can be linked to Arthritis of the Cervical Spine at C5 C6. The Ulnar and Median Nerve originate from that location and if an osepyhte or bone spur compresses either nerve it is carpal tunnel a form of radiculopathy.. If the compression goes on for a period of say 6 months or longer then it may be irreversable.

That is what service connected me for Carpal tunnel.

You can research it at www.webmd.com
