Question

Hello,

I just received my VA ID card today and I was wondering if I have to have a new one done if my rating % changes?

It has service connected on it beneath my picture, but thats it.

Thanks,

Tamara

Last year my brother applied to get his card. They took his picture and after 6 months it is still not here. He uses my address as his legal one. They did tell him that he was set up to use anything in its place.

1968 Army VV....

First thing you do, is you get together your correspondence from the VA Rating Folks.

The one in which it says ("You hereby and forever more are now declared Service Connection.....bla...bla), you know, your "award letter".

Then you, speedily and forthwit, carry your rear and your gear down to the VAMC, go to the VA Card Gettin Office, have your picture made and show them the Award Letter whereby it shows that you zigged when you should zagged.

Here at the Dallas VAMC, it takes about 2 weeks.
