berta ,or anyone please chim in. adwarded 30%ptsd mdd in sept of 06 ,eed april 06.did not nod because of other issues on appeal. instead reopened ptsd and mdd for increase to 70% and tiud oct 06.granted ss in april of 06 for s/c mdd and ptsd.last worked day 22 april 06 and folling monday filed for ss.what do you think eed should be? va says oct 06. i think it be be april o6 when i stoper working. thanks for all answers .chief 313.awarded 100% if i drop all other claims.which already agreed too.

VA is right on this, friend. They just won a case before the veterans court on the very same issue. If you get 100%, my advice is always, "Take the money and run,"

The court says that the effective date of a claim to reopen will be the date of the request to reopen the claim. You stated that in Oct 06 you requested to reopen so the effective date will be Oct 06. Alex is right.
