Question

This booklet requires a private doctor or va doctor, to write a letter for you, about the disease he is treating you for in support for your claim.....download it and understand the info in it....The first time I asked my Va doctor to write me a letter...his response was "We don't write letters" after presenting this booklet page requiring him do do so, he called the chief doctor in the hospital...all I got was "What do you want me to do"....

This year, my doctor provided me a "note" describing my Diabetes II which was recently approved at 20% due to Agent Orange exposure. I refer to his comments as a note since he just pulled out his prescription pad (about 3"x4") and joted down the information I told him I needed to support my claim (i.e., diagnois, meds prescribed, date of onset, etc.). It was somewhat like a Sgt. Joe Friday moment on Dragnet,

"Just the facts sir; just the facts."

It worked.
