Any Power Point

Berta

Recommended Posts

I am working on a Power Point Presentation for school and

have my slide transition in the flash mode- it looks SOOO cooool!

But I was wondering if the transition modes can be changed through-out the presentation?

The flash mode spins my slides onto the PPT but I would like to see if I could use a disintegrating mode for the last slide.

I havent gotten to the last slide yet-

My subject is "Dracula's Home- an Environmental Disaster"-

as the traditional gold mining techniques used for centuries in Transylvania have been replaced by big business-

Cyanide- a run -off chemical used in the new gold mining process-due to advanced technology to separate the gold from the soil-is killing fisheries and contaminating drinking water in the Transvania mountains.

I have to sum up this specific situation as to the global incidents of human pollution-even in formally pristine and undeveloped countries --and why this is an important worldwide issue and want to fade out or disintegrate a picture of our world from outer space as a final slide to make my point.

But if that cannot be done in PPT (switching the slide transitions)that's OK too-

I want to try it but fear I could mess up hours and hours of work already-maybe I will try it-

any thoughts? Thanks all. Berta

Yes, Berta, it can be done, but you may mess up about 30% of your work, at first.

The problem is usually with the the syntax, and the code structure you have entered in the PPT set - up.

Good Luck,

Josephine

berta it can be done i believe, but before you try save the powerpoint presentation wth a different name and work on that one that way if it gets screwed up you have the original without any problems.

berta and others you may want to check out http://www.lynda.com it has online self paced courses for just about everything and i use it quite frequently.

That is what I usually do. I just jump in. Before it is half way finished my presentation looks great. PP is really a good program for graphing ideas with pictures, text, movies, and time frames for events. Sometimes I get frustrated with it, because I can not remember all the different controls for it.

My presentations turn out great, but it takes me a very long time to get it right. Each time I use the program, I have to learn it all over again.

Thank you all- for good advise-I did a few sample PPTs just to learn the program-and will check out the site Tbird recommended-

I am going to put one of them on a CD and then play it on my TV-

This is a great program- Powerpoint- but it sure takes a lot of time to set it all up----

    Have Questions? Get Answers.

Tips on posting on the forums.

    1. Post a clear title like ‘Need help preparing PTSD claim’ or “VA med center won’t schedule my surgery instead of ‘I have a question.

    2. Knowledgeable people who don’t have time to read all posts may skip yours if your need isn’t clear in the title.
I don’t read all posts every login and will gravitate towards those I have more info on.

    3. Use paragraphs instead of one massive, rambling introduction or story.

Again – You want to make it easy for others to help. If your question is buried in a monster paragraph, there are fewer who will investigate to dig it out.

    Leading too:

exclamation-point.pngPost straightforward questions and then post background information.

    Examples:

    • Question A. I was previously denied for apnea – Should I refile a claim?
      • Adding Background information in your post will help members understand what information you are looking for so they can assist you in finding it.
Rephrase the question: I was diagnosed with apnea in service and received a CPAP machine, but the claim was denied in 2008. Should I refile?

    • Question B. I may have PTSD- how can I be sure?
      • See how the details below give us a better understanding of what you’re claiming.
Rephrase the question: I was involved in a traumatic incident on base in 1974 and have had nightmares ever since, but I did not go to mental health while enlisted. How can I get help?

This gives members a starting point to ask clarifying questions like “Can you post the Reasons for Denial of your claim?”

You’ve just been rated 100% disabled by the Veterans Affairs. After the excitement of finally having the rating you deserve wears off, you start asking questions. One of the first questions that you might ask is this: It’s a legitimate question – rare is the Veteran that finds themselves sitting on the couch eating bon-bons … Continue reading
