Ssa Reached A Decision!

Question

Ok everyone, I spoke with the SSA DDS about 2 weeks ago and they said that a decision had been reached. They said that they couldn't tell me over the phone but it would be "mailed out tomorrow, or next week". That was 2 weeks ago and I still have not heard anything. Is this good, bad, or a call back again a see if they will give me an answer. What do you brothers and sisters think? This is driving me up the walls.

You do have an option if the SSA office is local. You can go down to the office in person and ask for the details.

Chuck,

I didn't realize that I could go to the SSA and they would give me the details. But what is your opinion of the decision?

My best advice is to go with an attorney, I have been on SSDI since late in 98. I was turned down 3 times and as soon as the lawyer got his cut of back money

I was awarded 100% by an administrative law judge, PTSD almost got me jail time when the SS doctor said I did not have peripheral neuropathy. I stood up and almost grabbed th Doctor by the neck but I was removed by two officers, I was apoligized to by the Law Judge and awarded disability for the heart condition and DMII and a laundry list of other stuff.

I was recently upgraded to 100% VA disability for Meniers disease, I still have to NOD the rest. Its never really over?

JMACK:

I am crossing my fingers for a good answer. A very few claims are held back for review and that could be your delay. The review is a quality control issue with SSD and I know cause it happened to me.

Thanks all for your replies. I will start to search for an attorney, but hope that I won't need one.

Jmack,

My husband called back and they told him yes on the telephone.

Good Luck,

Josephine
