You can call the outpatient clinic that you were seen in and ask if pain meds were put in for you and how they will be coming. It has been my experience that the VA doesn't ship overnight. It will take about 5-10 days to get meds by mail and if it is a controlled substance, you should have to sign for it. At my VAMC the controlled substances that are mailed from their facility have to be signed for, but if their pharmacy puts it in and it comes out of Chicago, I don't have to sign for it. If you are out of your meds and starting to have difficulty, call the clinic and speak to the nurse. Ask her to have the doctor call you in a script at your local pharmacy for a small portion of your pain meds to get you through until yours comes in the mail. Have a pharmacy number ready to give and don't let them tell you they can't do this because they can. Just make sure that you keep track on your calendar so that you can request your refills at a time that won't let you be without. I'm going to have to call them tomorrow. I believe their closed for the night now.

What about on th MyHealtheVet.. Shouldn't I be able to see my scripts on there at this point? The inperson authorization finaly went through this mourning, but I still can't see any of the scripts or anything.

Before you can see the scripts online you have to sign the release form and take it to the FOIA/Records office and they take it and enter your name in the computer takes about 15 minutes until then all you can see is the numbers

Shouldn't I be able to see a script number on my healthevet? I couldn't see anything before the inpersonauthentication, but now it has like a search function available, but still nothing shows up?

If anyone can anwser that question, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Alright, now I can see my non-narcotic RX's. I'm assuming since the other two are narcotics, I can't view them. Or, I could be wrong and their not in the VA's system?
