Question On Kidney Dammage From Service Connected High Blood Pressure

Well It seems like every time I turn around this high blood pressure is attacking another organ in my body. Many years of high blood pressure has swollen my heart damaged the vessels in my eyes and now is according to the Veterans Clinic blood test and a civilian Kidney Doctor I am at stage 1 kidney disease. Has nyone out there have any knowledge of my newest problem? I am going to file a claim Monday but I am afraid to do it before I get my last C/P exam this next weekend. Any Ideas on that please let me know. I have been to over 4 c/p exams in the last three months. I hate to file the claim and have my case put back on another desk. I enjoy the forum and I thank all of you in advance. If any of you had H/B in Service to please even though you take the meds and do everything they tell you to do this stuff marches on with out stopping. Have a good day

You just need a Doc to put it together for you.

The Doc must provide a good Nexus.

HTN is not a good thing to have, I have had it for years and it does take its toll on the body.

I see your catch 22 about filing the claim. A new claim will most likely delay the one currently working,

Hypertension does and will cause kidney problems. Just do a search on hypertension and kidneys.

However there are many things which will cause the kidneys to go bad. So as Jbasser stated you will need your doc to state that your hypertension is the cause of your kidney problems. This is normally easy to do with some testing.
