Ricky,

If your Neuro doc is not a VA doc ---- do you have any VA doc,

hopefully a PCP, just show them the script and they will

AS LIKELY AS NOT (ha..ha) re-write it and send to VA Pharmacy.

VERY IMPORTANT ---- The patient is SUPPOSED to have previously

attempted smoking cestation such as Nicorette Gum or Classes.

This means, CYA!

Hope this helps a vet.

Thanks Carlie. I do not have any VA docs as I receive all of my health care through civilian/tricare.

Tricare will not pay for the chantix.

I haven't heard of this yet. I took it and it actually helped me to stop dipping. I did have the crazy dreams and the stomach upset, but I pushed through it. I actually kicked the habit for a year. Then the pain level shot up and I went right back to it. Looking back, I can honestly say that my tobacco-free year was the worst year of my life. I would rather die of cancer than go without my nicotene...but hey, that's just me.
