The VA has been using this "system" for quite some time. It adds to the ability of the VA to treat the veteran more quickly and thoroughly, and therefor allows them to treat MORE vets.

Everytime I go to see my PCP, he spends quite a bit of time either entering or obtaining info into this system.

Many civilian hospitals have the same sort of system.
