Varo Moved My Claim

Question

Hi All,

Found out my calling my SO (POA) that the VARO moved my claim and file to a different regional office - I assume due to backlog.

What erkes me is that the VA nor SO informed me. When I called the SO they read some brief notes in the system and basically the file was moved 3 months ago! The SO claims the VA never told them. The VA never told me either. Funny thing is the local VA apparently told the other VA office to make a decision with a deadline in early Fall! I kind of find that hard to believe - they can't do the work her, yet they give a deadline to their sister office?!

Is that true? How do I submit any more evidence - to my local SO or mail it directly to the new office?

Thanks.

I would Iris them ,and tell them what the SO said-Iris them at the other VA-(under the State thing) and ask them where the physical claim is and where you can submit other evidence-

a rep told me some time ago that the VA PC said something it didnt say at all-

and even a 800# rep interpreted the entries wrong in another call I made.

This is quite possible due to the backlog but you have every right to know where the claim is at.

PS someimes the VA PC has codes as to presense of C file-

I asked what one code meant and it was code for the local VAMC.

Long story but this code gave me opportunity to confirm with local VAMC that the C file was there with the entire med recs-for months as a VA doc opined hours away in Buffalo on my claim.I can prove she only used 3-4 faxed med recs and this was one more way to knock down her opinion.

She didnt even know the VA killed my husband (FTCA med reports in the file )

or that I already had an expert IMO.

I too would be as concerned as you are as to where the claim is at.
