If I were you I would complain to the Administration of that Hospital. I am having the same problem and here is my game plan.

I am going to ask Patient Advocate to help me get an appointment with a Doctor.

If that does not work I am going to ask at my clinic for help.

If that does not work I intend to go to Administration and ask for help.

I think that the Dallas VA giving medicine to Veterans with no hands on is like buying prescriptions over the Internet.

Oh, I have complained about it....it falls on deaf ears. I believe my records are "flagged" at Dayton due to the number of complaints I've filed...I just need to find out (whole other topic). I've been told they are just so short on pdocs that they allow certain RNs to prescribe meds.....I've checked and apparently it's legal in the state of Ohio; but I'm not sure they are allowed to prescribe without a docs co-sign.
