Betty, havent got a 'social functioning exam' yet, but was evaluated for IU w/physical issues. So of course I'm interested because I think that exam may come with 'round' 2.

Here some shared thoughts on my exam for physical issues,

Doc sure spoke fast when asking how far could I walk 'say a couple of blocks or so without stopping?' Doc said 'you're young, you probably walk around the store shopping for a few hours'. You do enjoy shopping for your family dont you? (Hardly gave me time to think or process what was presented).Expecting my answer quickly I may add. 'Just tell me in your own words...no need to look at those papers...'

Doc was 'feeding' me thoughts to respond to. Guess its a docs job, whether I like it or not. Doc tried to get me very comfortable at first and break down barriers. Again docs job. Again, the same reason I would take my husband or a close freind with me whenever possible! Docs have a agenda to meet and me? I have success to get.

Yup, if I get a C&P exam again, its my job to stay 'cool' or 'cold' as a patient. I'd have notes regards last time I worked, whats broke down, what I did and why I am so 'broke down' I cant work, or always drive to work, serious impact on my family, or whatever. I want to give the doc a copy of my notes to include in the exam too! (I'm gonna announce handing the letter over in case they are recording the exam for transciptionists!")

Don't know if this makes any sense, just sorta helps to get out my thoughts,

Best to ya,

CG

CG,

I sure hope Dr. Mxx hasn't changed since I saw him 4 years ago.

He was the most patient and the most fair doctor I had ever been to.

His opinion of me was not valued at the R. O level, for they did

bring in those two quacks to over-ride him.

The BVA Judge saw things the way they were and gave the credit

to the Psychologist by stating he gave the true picture of

my history and condition.

I will make sure I take him his C&P and hope he has remained honest.

I sure hope the ways of the VA, as I see them, have not rubbed off

on him.

Thanks so much,

Betty
