What many people fail to realize with taxes is that when you pay too much in taxes, that's what your refund is. By getting a refund you have given the Federal Government an interest free loan. They would NEVER return the favor. I'm just saying...

No bonus...and IRS kept our 1200. I hate taxes and interest and penalties...was it worth it to work all these years? Not! Still paying taxes on taxes. Haven't received any $ from IRS since 1973. Been paying them more and more each year. Never claimed dependents during the year either. Sucks.

no the bank statement says veterans benefit 220 $XXXX.XX (normal amount)

next line says veterans benefit 220 $600.00

Don't ask don't tell??????? I missed one class that I was paid for in 1977 ($200). The VA hounded me for 5 years until I was able to pay it back. It probably cost the vA $500.00 in paper work and man hours to hound me every month. This is why I think it is good to find out.
