Thanks Y'all!

It gives me that hang over feeling like Trazadone, but I'm a little dizzy and high

feeling for most of the day... I have PTSD and MDD and my anger is hightened

because I'm grumpy hangover! I'm taking gabapenton 1200mg and that's it...

so Remeron and Gabapenton for PTSD and Major Deperession....

Sound right, I know different drugs for different strokes but having more sleep

isn't helping my other issues. I feel like the VA is experminting on me....

Really I'm ready to give them the Double Finger!!

Gabapentin and Xanax is what I take for Panic Disorder and so far since 1995 it has certainly helped much more than anything else I have done.I believe that gabapentin is a miracle medicine but I also am aware that some Hadit Members have tried it with not so good results.

I take 2400mg of gabapentin or 800 mg 3x a day. It also helps my neuropathy.

Good Luck

I take clonazepam and percoset or vicodin. If I take the percoset or vicodin by themselves it wakes me up. I have the exact opposite reaction to these narcotics as most people. I take them and I can't sleep and become more awake. I take them in the morning as soon as I get up for pain and to wake up. I am pretty sure I have a jones. If you want to find out if you have a physical dependency on an opiate try stopping for one day.

John will the VA cut you off completely after 9 months if they feel you have a dependency on them?? I know it sounds like a stupid question but first time through the pain meds routine. I missed a Primary Care Doctor(new DR.) due too a funeral i needed to attend last week. Rescheduled for Oct 5th and i'll be out on the 26th of my pain meds...??? TY William

No, I don't think they will cut you off if you have a dependency because most vets who take narcotics have a dependency. If you take percoset, for instance, three times a day you are going to get dependent. When the drug stops working because you need more the VA should give you something else. I took morhpine and percoset for three years and only when I complained about the side effects of the morphine did they want to taper me off all the narcotics. The lesson is never complain about side effects since all they have to offer is 3 or 4 pain meds (the cheap ones). I was dumb enough to think they were professional and would work with me to find the right mix. Instead they just decided I was a problem that had to go away.
