What Good Is A Poa?

I am wondering if I am asking too much.

The decision on my claim for an Increase and TDIU was made the 8th of

this month.

I found this out from the call number.

In one telephone call to the DAV I did hear this:

It is favorable and you are going to be really really pleased.

I was ask to drop my claim for headaches which was in Apppeals,

I did this.

I have called and called and ask my POA the DAV

in Huntington, West Va. to please walk over and pick up a copy

or let me know something like some ratings, what date if

awarded TDIU.

I called the Virginia DAV and they called the Rater in Huntington,

but they would not tell them anything, since they were in a different

state.

I have been told countless times, I will go get a copy and call

you back, this does not happen.

Was or is there any need for any POA and what do they do for veterans

who are already in the system.

Thanks,

Betty

And all this time I thought that it was some kind of plant that Pacific Islanders ate in place of potatoes.

If you hire an attorney he becomes your POA in front of the VA. You are giving this person the right to act as your attorney in certain defined matters. When you give someone a durable POA you give them the right to handle all your financial matters. Then there is a health care POA. These POA's can be powerful instruments.
