Claim Is At Review

Just checked at ssa online, and called ssa 1800 for claim status, told me claim decided. Just praying here now, not sure what 'review' means exactly.

Thanks Ruby, I'll sit on the fencepost for now until I know better. If the claim is granted, does it go straight to bank or is there still more paperwork to do?

It will go straight to the bank. I didn't get any back pay and I had to wait for my money.

Here is how it works you must be out of work for 6 months, the time for you claim starts is the first 30 days after you submit you claim. My last day of work was Dec 4, I filed Jan 8. I didn't get my first check until Aug. If I had understood the system better I would have filed sometime in Dec. that way I would have gotten a check in July.

I hope this makes sense.
