Letter From Psychiatrist

Okay, FINALLY we are getting the doctor to write a letter, not just progress notes, about my husband's current condition. The doctor says he doesn't know what to say. He wants me to tell him. I've gone over the rating schedule for 70%, and I plan to give him that so he can compare it to my husband, and then he can..... do what? Copy it and apply it to my husband with examples? I'll post the sample letter I've drafted for him, and you tell me what you think. Please help, this has taken almost a year to get the doctor to do this, so we need it to be accurate and in VA lingo! Thanks for all replies!

That was a hell of a letter your doctor did except for no GAF score. That is all that I see lacking, but it must have not mattered since you got it.

That is what I call damning evidence. The VA has no choice but to pay you a chunk of money!

I like this statement in Dr. Crowley's letter. He is one of the top

10 Expert Forensic Psychiatrist in the United States.

This chronic, and in this veterans' case, disabling, mental disorder first manifested itself while in service and has required treatment ever since.

John 999,

I think the VA was so stunned by his credentials, they didn't give

a crap about it.

As you guys told me, that one letter was paid for with a drop

in the bucket of the money they had to pay me.

They are going to be paying another chunk when all is said and done.

I haven't posted formally the 100% for I do not have all the details.

Received a telephone call the decision was made the 8th of this month

and the decision was 100%.

Letter should arrive shortly and then I will post it all.

I still want the 100% at least back to the 1992 date.

I am sure that I will have to go back for it, but wanted to get

the 100% first.

I hope you did a REALLY happy dance! I know I would. Hell, I'll do a happy dance if they just give us the 70% he deserves!

SouthernBelle,

They paid me six figures on that one.

You bet, we did.

We proved service connection, 44 years after my discharge.

I thank everyone on the site, for it would have no been possible

without each and every one of them.

I had so many doing research for me and posting rules and

regulations.

This was a group win.

Thanks,

Betty
