Housebound

Question

Hi all:

I am rated TDIU T&P PTSD.

The meds and the ptsd don't allow me much ability to go out into public.

Should I apply for HOUSEBOUND Special Compensation?

Should I not bother because a new claim will open my case for review and "attack"??

Thank you,

Mike S.

I might take a shot at it if I win my CUE. Do you just need to take the HB form to a doctor and get them to fill it out for you? I am embarassed about it.

John, a friend of mine is 100% for PTSD and 20% for Diabetes. He had a stroke and is paralyzed on the right side of his body. wears leg brace unable too use right arm. Would he qualify for HB, with all the meds?? TY, William

If he is confined most of the time to his home then I think he would be eligible for HB. I really think any vet who is confined to his home most of the time is eligible for HB but the VA says you must be at least 100% schedular. If you are 100% plus 60% it is almost automatic to get some kind of SMC like HB.
