Hello All Hope All Is Well. I need your Help on this one I have been assigned another Mental Health Specialist.For reason i do not know why and would not be explained to me.To Start a new is very taxing on oneself to explain yourself all over again because they just do not review past history and it is very cumbersome. However my concerns are this are the two of us going to sit there for thirty min .and stare at each other. This is a difficult subject for me to speak about.Your Thoughts?

I just had to swtich tdocs and i really, really dislike (ok...hate) my new tdoc. I've posted about it on here before somewhere else, I think. New tdoc has already told me she won't read about my history in my records becasue she would rather hear it from me. WTF? Then why does the VA have this fancy-ass electronic record-keeping system if they aren't going to use it????

At our last appt she actually asked me how to use the fancy-ass electronic system because she didn't know how. Wow. That speaks volumes for confidence.

She also actually asked me to let her know what she should say to me when I'm feeling really bad (i.e. suicidal) in order to make me feel better. Oh...............yes she did. I didn't answer her. I honestly didn't know what to say. What I wanted to say was "Have you ever done this before?" (Supposedly she's some expert in MST PTSD.....LMFAO......she's never worked in the VA system before!!!!)

Tomorrow we have our 3rd appt. I really dread it. I haven't done my "homework" and she will be pissed. Well gee, since our last appt we've had a major storm, I've had house damage, power outages, almost daily SI, and a bad car accident with injuries. I dare her to say one word.

Sorry for the vent. Back to regular programming.......

Hello All Hope All Is Well. Here is the Latest from VAMC East Orange and VARO Newark . According to these folks I am only Service connected for a Left Leg Injury sustained while Serving. In the mean time for thirty years I have been treated for Chronic prostititus, Various Urological issues. Orthopedic,Dermatology ,Mental Health My first AWARD Letter Clearly States musculolskelatel System.As for my Appointment for today with MH clinition did not happen. Due to the Fact VAMC has back Dated and sent CHARGES to my spouses insurance company and billed them for everything including PCP visit all Medication ETC At this point Iam so Frustrated in fear of losing it and truly really put a hurting on some F--cking Arseholes because theses bastards just don't give a flying rats arse about nothing but there own selves. Absoloutely no regard for another. Please forgive me I am at the end of my rope with these decision xxxxxxx makers. As I have always STATED This is a very onesided agencies dosen;t matter how much documentation you have they will find any answer to refute or tear one down I am so done.And as for the politicians they are just as BAD. Nothing but a bunch of PEN PUSHING WHORES.ARGHHHHHHHHHHH

macafee-i truly understand what you mean by the "one-sided agency"...the VA only looks out for themselves. i hope you are having a better day today.

i went out on a limb and e-mailed my former tdoc anyway because i am doing so badly mental health wise....really, really bad. here's the reply i received just this morning:

"Xxxxxxx, I truly can not accept the e-mails about your MH issues. I legally am not practicing as an Advance Practice Nurse and I legally can not communicate with you about your stressors. I am truly apologetic about this but you have to get with Dr. Xxxxxx about your intense emotions right now. She is more than willing to schedule appointments with you as necessary. I wish this could be different for you but it really can not be. If something happens with you and I have been in communication with you and Dr. Xxxxxxx is not involved, it is truly not professionally appropriate for me to do so. Please try to arrange an acceptable format for you and her to deal with this very stressful time for you. I will advise her of this e-mail and she and you can determine what needs to take place next. "

Wow. I reach out to her to let her know I'm on the edge of suicide here and this is the response I get. I don't trust this new tdoc and moreover I don't like her...not a good situation. Oh the position that my former tdoc (RN person) has been promoted into that she can no longer "legally" talk to me? Her new duty title is "Safe Pt Handling". Ironic.

Sorry, I'm just not doing well.

I think your old tdoc (nurse) gave you a big hint as to something

is up in her life, as either her license wasn't renewed or maybe

under a suspension.

The quote above clearly shows a problem in the licensing area.

I've walked in your shoes in having to change MH therapy providers and it's hard

but there is no choice but to move on. I am sorry you have to go thru this.

Remember, when one day at a time is unbearable try hanging in there a moment

at a time. You're going to be OK. We need you here and so do others.

If the SI continues to increase and your meds at home don't help enough

then get to the ER.
