As soon as you file a NOD you can obtain lawyer- plenty vets lawyers on the net-

if you did file the NOD on or after June 20 2007 you can get a lawyer-

Yeah I named this same rep at DVA in Buffalo in my complaint- he is in the hot seat big time-of his initials are GG (I named John too)

The VVA has chapters in our state- they could find you a service officer- as a matter of fact the VA web site has a complete list of Service org contacts-

You need a lawyer or a seasoned vet rep to handle this claim-and make sure the VARO considers your evidence.

This same VARO was told by the BVA weeks ago to expeditiously READ my evidence.

They havent done that in over 5 and a half years.

They had help from the POA I had.

I dont think Schumer or Clinton have the time to get involved in any claims due to the election-and I think at this point any COngressional intervention will only add more time ( or conversely cause a VERY FAST denial)

When you ask for an appeal for change of discharge character you want a hearing with people to hear your appeal. If you were mentally disturbed when you went awol then you probably have a good case. It costs the military nothing to grant you a general under honorable rather than an OTH. They get testy if you ask for a medical and a pension.
