Question

maybe someone can help me. I am currently employed with a government agency as a supply tech. I am digansoed with chronic PTSD and on my C&P exam back in Feb.08 the examing physician put in writing that I was only employable under a stress free environment with limited interaction from coworkers, whom I have had a bad history with. I do not get along well with the people I work with. I have been suspended for 10 days for a incident and now another has occurred where a propsed termination was a possible option.I am not serviced connected for my PTSD it is in appeal. My employer says there is no way to accomadate me because of my condition. What are my options?

Thanks!

I don't think they were listed in anything they sent me rentalguy prior to the duty to assist. The best I remember they never sent me anything addressing what I had sent them as evidence. At that time I never ask for a copy of my c-file then. I did in 2007. I was busy trying to make a living working 16-20 hours a day, to sick to work but had to and although I am still very much lacking in knowledge, I really didn't know Jack about how to go about filling out a claim. I have learned very much after I found hadit. The SO that did the duty to assist on me, is the person who told me about hadit.com. I did later ask for a copy of my c-file and those documents were in my file when I got the file, they just evidently never looked at them.

dicple13, I am no expert by any means. But, I would think the company you are working for would be treading lightly. The reason being is, if they are contracted with the federal goverment, the feds have fairly strict rules/laws, pertaining to firing a person with any disabilities. If you feel you are being treated unfairly. I would suggest contacting a labor law atty. and/or ACLU. AS far as the PTSD, what helped me I think was letters from employer, spouse and IMO from my doctor. Hope this helps.
