witchdoctor Posted December 3, 2008 Share Posted December 3, 2008 the check you will get on 31 dec 08 is your check for the entitlement earned in december. The VA does not pay in advance. The 5.8% COLA took effect on 1 DEC 08 and will be reflected in the 31 DEC check. GO here: http://www.vba.va.gov/bln/21/rates/index.htm and click on 12-1-2008 to see current or prior rates.
