my deadline is dec 27 its a saturday. you agreed to take me on as a patient. you cited my inability to pay as a reason for shelving my case. you describe in an email a need to attend to to CEOs and Birds to make over me. now it is the dying. i have a valid case. i cannot walk without fear of falling and addition of the damaged left leg to the right with a congenital defect has caused increased pain. i feel i have been abandoned and it is not right to demand a patient to write their own case.

i had to do the write-up of my own IME case. i took exception to this. i am his patient. he has had the records since beginning of november and I have to write up case. sorry bash...unethical.

Awhile back I asked posters that have used Bash to post their success stories. Many, many defend him but cite examples of his "winning" case at the BVA. All the case cited that "he" won list numerous additional sources the BVA made their decision on. The replies from people who used Bash and actually "won" was limited to 3 or 4. He is well liked on this board and defended by people who have never even used him. I have used Bash for Lung cancer and back injuries well documented in my sservice records. He charged me $2000 for his "report." I am boots on ground Viet vet (3/9 marines 66-67). In his report he mentioned smoking and AO were to blame. I did not know that Lung cancer was presumed for AO. Bash should have known this. My back was denied as his little write up saying it probably was from the service. MY OPINION is still that Bash is overpriced, overrated, and is more interested in his fee than helping fellow Vets. His reports are usually 1-3 pages with his attached resume is 7-8 pages. I myself would never use him again and advise with all my heart no vet use him. I do not feel he is worth half of what he charges. Mind you, this is my opinion based on my facts and info I have collected. It is an opinion which I am entitled to share, and to the one long time poster who threatened to have Bash sue me for slander---help yourself!

This is how complaints are made and opinions are shared. I don't know the man, but he serves a purpose.

When this thread was first posted, I stated be very careful.

I did this for a reason, I saw a Vet who felt jilted, not only by the VA but from a IMO he was counting on, but did not get........I have had that feeling in my claim years ago and it is not good.

I knew this was going to be a very sore subject because of this doc's reputation whether you like him or not, he has still helped alot of Vets, and yes it was for a fee, and there is nothing wrong with it.

Here we now find that this has progressed to a point it should not have gotten to, as it has not helped your claim, but has allowed you to vent, which at least may have been a good thing.......but please x-nay on the E-mails between yourself and the doc,,,,Not Good.

Im sorry to jump in here and this may be slightly off topic but I also posted something yesterday that didnt show up. To the OP, I dont think that anyone erased anything, there may have just been a system glitch. I should have asked a moderator to check into it but I didnt. Now I wish I had.

What are we talking about again? It seems just about everywhere I post it kills the thread, I POSTED run for your lives........

Hell...

For $1000.00 I'll write a medical report! It'll be a good one to!

Orthopedics only please...!

All kidding aside...

When I first saw a "Banner Ad" for Dr. Bash, I couldn't resist to research it...

When I saw the fees that he charged...???

Quite frankly, you can take what he charges, and go to at least 10 specialists in your area, and get many pages of supporting documentation to support your claim. I did, and it only cost me $125.00. I'll gladly pay that.

The key...

Learn your disabilities, and conduct a DIALOGUE w/questions with your doctors.

Don't let your doctors talk down to you as if you are an idiot.

If you are knowledgeable about your conditions, you will know when your VA doctor is pulling your leg or not.

Also, don't be swayed into thinking that your VA doctor knows what's Best for You. Study alternatives and other options to VA prescribed procedures.

Case in Point...

HISTORY: I was between 20-30, a S/C Left hip with 3 Knowles pins (w/o retaining nuts)& (one pin is into the acetabular) and I have a L/2-3 compression fracture(Fx) from an MVA (1976).

For YEARS, I've been told that there was no other option available to me, other than Hip Fusions.

I argued (even with a staff of Orthopedics in LA) that with my present spinal conditions, that this was NOT a logical alternative, being that I would have to change my center of gravity when I bend.

My new center of gravity would be right in the affected area...L-2.

Even though I had mentioned this fact, he still insisted that I wasn't a candidate for a THR.

This showed me TWO things...

#1) He was not concerned about my condition to my spine...

#2) As a Staff of Orthopedics, he should have known about Arthroplasty.

This shows me either his unconcern or ignorance to relieving pain other than "Welding" my joint together. It is an inexpensive and in my opinion, a medieval procedure.

So, what's the moral of this story...

Educate yourselves about your conditions, so that you can fight the good fight, and prevail.

Don't show up at a doctors office, like a deer in the headlights.

And most importantly, watch out for crackpots, looking to take your hard earned cash!
