Defaming Dr. Bash

Question

my god, the rights i served as a viet nam era vet undemined by a moderator of hadit. im on probation. my posts will be monitored for a week per the pm for complaining about my treatment by dr. bash. in medico-legal terms the man abandoned me with less than three weeks left to file my 1151 claim. i felt his posts were odd and inappropriate. we have been corresponding since august. i wonder if the other veterans who have complained of bash, have also been placed in the monitor category for defaming him.

tonight i am told i cannot defame him.....these represent my opinion and 'we know what an opinion is"

critizing a moderator is a sanctionable offense. well ive been criticized several time by moderators and minimally or did not respond. what is an example of cricitzing? not playing the moderator's game? "i would not say that" as an example, peppers some of my posts. can be viewed in the dr. bash posts. para "he's beloved and helped so many". in essence my opinion doesn't count? this is not constructive to other vets who consider using him in the future. my posts outside of this of the last are closed. the last entry of dr bash 3 was erased several times. i sent tbird a message.....i wonder if it will be delivered.

ok i am making this a visible post so you don't think we are all out to get you. i suggest you spend your time perfecting your 1151 claim and less on your issues of your free speech being denied. remember you are free to leave the board at any time. if you don't like the moderation team or the administration you have every right to leave.

i hardly think you are out to get me tbird and moderator group. hardly. if you have a heart in your body you should be able to identify the shock and grief incurred by being dropped by bash with less than two weeks left to finish my 1151 claim.

deleting my posts about dr. bash shows an unseemly preference and influence that bash has in this forum. if this statement is of the type that you view as criticizing yourself and the moderating team, then you are not much different than the VA who openly robs us of our rights on a daily basis.

no carlie. he agreed to prepare an IME for me. he initially wanted 5000 and then graciously....yes graciously agreed to do it for no cost. i had been trying to reach him via email for weeks...to no avail. he said that people that pay come first, and this is of course fair. however requiring me to prepare my own IME and type the formal document was a bit unreasonable. especially because there was no input from him. i didnt mind the typing, but would have liked some guidance. he sent me early on a redacted compensation and pension claim and i used what i could to formulate my claim. on my end, i was trying to pull together the record falsification and lack of informed consent documentation. i have sent VAOIG hotline...i called two days ago for a case number and none has been assigned. but im not deterred. i believe i have the evidence to prove that the informed consent discussion was never had, and because i spent hours talking with different people in IT and Privacy at central office, they will become my witnesses for the OIG.

i send him my records in October. i was becoming anxious as claim's drop dead date is december 27.

he implied that there were more important cases than mine, which flew in the face of some of the email exchanges that we had. he cut me off and has blocked my email address. he provided me the website and email address of another IME, but this individual appears not to be functioning as an IME. Barson's i believe his name is.

I'll live through this. now it really is a case for an attorney and i hope that i can secure one for the BVA.

I don't believe the case will be granted at the DRO level. and i don't believe this RO has ever decided a 1151 claim. I was going to FOIA for this information....i was ticked not to have this said up front, it has been two years. but the lack of informed consent and falsification of records may be so blatant that i win by default. only god knows.

early on i dismissed the veteran advocate for the claim as he witheld a critical document from an IMO neurologist for consideration in the case. He performed a ncs/emg study that proved I had dystonia. not foot drop assessed by c and p neurologist. i then approached VFW who requested a neurologist appointment and evaluation. i foolishly dismissed them. but i knew i needed a movement disorder neurology specialist (rare as hen's teeth here in maine) to evaluate my case. i finally found one and in june had botox injections and this definitively proved diagnosis of dystonia. i have to have botox every three months for rest of my life.

i was diagnosed with a thyroid mass last month. i tripped (an artifact of the VA treatment) and broke my nose and had lacerations over bridge nose. the local hospital cat scanned my neck an there it was. it is a cold nodule which raises it in the category of cancer. i am awaiting biospsy appointment. i have a malignant fatigue (it is added to an autoimmune disease, fibro and severe major depression which is now recurrent). it is bad timing for all this stress. somewhere along the line this will go my way. for this i am within normal limits certain. there is always that possibility not in my life time.

i guess i answered more than you asked. this is the story. i feel sad now as i end this note. in my minds eye it is going to be dissected and thrown in my face. i gotta get going. there is still allot of work for me to do.

regards

patti

I also wish you the best as far as your treatment AND your claims go, but I will stand up for the mods here.

I have made my feelings about the service I received from Dr. Bash no secret on here multiple times.... even unintentionally hijackig others threads as a result of my feeelings about my experiance with him. No member or mod on this site has ever contacted me or blocked me as a result of these posts. But I will also say that I kept my posts factual and didnt attack Dr. Bash or his credentials, etc., just the report he did for me and all of the stuff (time, money, etc) that went along with the report.

I'm not saying that you have slandered him or anything like that as I haen't seen your posts, but no matter how much you or I or other vets look at this site as "ours", it is TBirds and the others who run it and I assume pay for it. I am a member of a similar board for a certain type of motorcycle and I have seen on there where members felt they had full 1st amendment rights on that board, only to be reminded that it was a membership that came with agreement to the rules set up by the people who started the site.

Like I said, I'm not saying that you did anything wrong, I'm posting more so that you will be sure that others on here aren't all too happy with Dr. Bash either and that the mods have allowed those members to voice their opinions about him with no restrictions.

I hope that you get the help that you need for your claim and that you get everything from the VA that you earned with your service!

Cheers, Jason
