ptsd 70% Ptsd Being Deployed Again

Thats right I was told this weekend at drill I will be going back! I am combined 80% and 70% for PTSD. I'm at a loss for words. I do want to complete the last two years of my six year contract, but with everything going on, I'm just suprised. I just hope they can find something other than kickin down doors for this old Scout to do. On the good side maby this deployment they will not loose my medical record!

Did you go through an MEB yet?

Do you have a Permanent Profile? Should be under the S in PULHES

If you went through an MEB already and were found Fit for Duty, then you are fit for duty within the limits of your profile. If your profile says no kevlar helmet, no ruckmarching, or no weapons training or no use of weapon, then you won't deploy to the middle east.

Be careful....In the new DAV magazine there is a whole article on the VA disability and returning to active duty. Didn't get a chance to read it yet......

... but I take being a good soldier very seriously, ... Sometimes I think a deployment might fix everything left over from the last one. It's hard to match the pride you have when you wear the uniform, and this is my last chance ever.

How did your appointment go on the 13th, CAVscoutIII? Has your paper work caught up to your command yet? Do you still want to deploy?

Finnaly got my VA doctors to write a statement considering the situation and my unit is considering the situation. I think they will do what they are supposed to now. I keep everybody posted.
