Amc Rebuttal

On the evening of Jan 17, 2009 I went to the

main post office in Tampa, Fl. and mailed out my

rebuttal to the AMC, certified mail, return receipt requested.

Today, Feb. 3rd, I just got the return receipt showing it

was delivered and signed for by

Margaret Harrison on Jan 28, 2009.

Now I just hope the AMC doesn't say I did not respond in a timely manner.

At least I have the Certified Mail Receipt that shows it was mailed out Jan 17, 2009.

Wish you luck carlie there new excuse will be that Margaret Harrison does not work here never worked here she was a temp volunter and they are not responabile for her and the paperwork was lost. Hope you know I and my wife are praying for u told her what you were going thru. Thats one of the reason I come to hadit. Margaret probably works in the AMC mailroom. All mail goes through the mailroom and is sorted to different departments.

BTW...

You mentioned that you resided in Tampa? Are you familiar with LSI? I may be heading your way (hopefully soon), if OWCP authorizes my laser surgery.

Carlie and others, next time you have time sincitive mail, you might consider sending it next day or 2nd day air, with signed return receipt. Sure it costs a lot more, but it sure relieves some of that anxiety we have, when we already worry about our correspondences getting to the VA and being acknowledged they have received them.

I just hope in my claims to the VARO, that I win at that level, because I have a very good VSO who sees that all my submissions to the VARO, are delivered, either by the end of the business day or no later than the end of the next business day. I don't know how I would handle having to deal with another dept. of the VA. I worry to much as it is.

I wish you all the best and that you don't get any run around like some in the past, saying they didn't get something, even when you can prove that they did.

Carla, I know you're trying to save money but "parcel post" even w/certified and returned receipt is still slow. Next time spend the extra. hahahaha Seriously, you'll be okay, even if they try to use the date thing. I had it happen to me and I won, it just delayed my claim. It's just another delaying/denying technique. Just a way to get you to give up.
