Anyone have an idea when I will hear back from the VA and what will be the next step? A C&P? Share your experiences please.

Do you have UI already?

It took about 30 days for me to receive a response, and less than 30 days after that, for a C&P exam. That was at the end of November, 2008, I haven't heard from them since then. My most positive thoughts are with you for a successful outcome, Old5311. That's how mine is going so far. Good luck with your claim.

I filed on 17 October 2008. I received a response within about 2 weeks. I had a C&P in just over 30 days. My claim went to the rating board on 15 December 2008, and I am currently waiting on a decision.
