Iris - How Often....

Question

B) I've learned how to use IRIS thanks to the many helpful Vets on here. I used it on January 10th to ask for any updates on my claim which was filed on March 3rd, 2008. Last I heard it was in the developmental stages as they are waiting on reports from Vero Beach Clinic, as well as West Palm VMAC - amazing as all the records they claim to be waiting for are in the own damn computer. Anyway, should I ask them monthly, bi-monthly, or what?

Your choice, myself, about every 3-4 weeks, as long as status sounds progressive. Good to have the paperwork for cya files. Also use 1800 occasionally, really nice when 2 out of 3 customer reps answer questions similarly. Then I check with vso about every 3-4 weeks. Whats really good is when all 3 sources sing same song.

Best to ya,

notime,

Curious, how far are you from the VARO?

Once-a-month:

> I do IRIS - Good updating per my expectation.

> I have flexible work hours(in IT profession). I make time to visit my local VARO to acquire more indept status. Select or stick w/ the one(VSR) who is more helpful, understanding & cooperative.

Twice-a-month:

> I call the 1 800.....

Result=> 30% very generalized updating, and limited access.

Quick note- I would get the records myself and send them cert. mail to the RO. The RO's generally do not have your VA progress or any other VHA records notes in there computers.
