Thank you all so much for your veteran expierience with this med (Zoloft). My wife and I did ask the doc what to expect and he gave the text book answers. We also looked it up online and it was pretty much what he said. Your comments are more noteworthy to me because it comes from the vets mouth who took this med. Your comments are priceless and to let you know I begin taking them tonight.....hope I can avoid most of the side effects, especially suicidal and diarreah.

I would like to add here that if you decide to stop taking them, PLEASE do not quit cold turkey. Let your doc know and get their advice on how to do it the 'right' way.

I stopped cold turkey after specifically being told not to (like Purple, I am med resistant) and boy did I feel the wrath. Just an FYI.

The archives of Hadit are full of stories of bad things happening when a Vet goes off their meds on their own, Most of us have to do that at least onceand its not pretty.

two weeks ago I forgot to get a refill on my zoloft, bad bad four days, didnt realize how bad til my wife told me to go get my darn med's cause she couldn't take it.

UGH, they are worth it, dont take all the problems away, but makes me tolerable.....
