Howdy From Vader, Wa.

Recommended Posts

Hey all,

My name is Randall Smith and I have PTSD, Chloracne, Hypertension, Diabetes, Peripheral Neuropathy. I had a near fatal case of Malaria while in Vietnam. and, oh yes...I am technically homeless and very much unemployed.

Here is my question.

My claim for Chlorance, PTSD, Heptitus, Liver Dysfunction and Impotence was denied in 2005. No reason given. I called the VA and asked for a copy of the Denial Letter. VA states that are no letters written to me from the VA in 2005/6/7.

The Chloracne was diagnosed by the Agent Orange Registry Exam and a letter wriiten to me my the examining DR saying it was presumptive of exposure to Agent Orange. I was diagnosed and treated for a serious "Skin Disorder - Topical Acne" in the first year I left Vietnam.

I never got any denial letter.

The VA has no record on file of sending any denial letters.

Also, the C&P folks never made an appointment for me to see a mental health professional for PTSD...the VA made absolutely no medical appointments for me to see anyone ever!!!! don't they have a responsibility to provide free medical examinations when a claim is made?

I was never asssigned a Personal Care Physician.

Has any had these kinds of blanket denialsfrom the VA?

Lastly, being homeless in 2004/5 I never got any mail from the VA and so missed the 1 year deadline to ask for an appeal......

Life with PTSD sucks, Diabetes sucks, being unemployed sucks and worst of all is the VA folks who get actual monetary bonuses by denying claims.
