Naw, Pete, it wouldn't be worth it. Don't forget how entertaining that dealing with the VA has become.

Besides, as we get older the more suseptable we become, our systems have just absorbed more than can be handled.............and some of us, our livers have been insulted ENOUGH and just can't quite filter out the bad stuff anymore.

Which, naturally, brings up the subject that you touched upon. Sleep, or the lack thereof.

I finally got a night's sleep (5 hours) last night.

This is what it took (or, rather, I took):

1 Ambien

2 Naproxen

1 500 mg Acetaminaphine (sp?)

2 300 mg Acetaminaphine/codein

That usually lasts me between 3 - 5 hours.

Oh, and one other drug............my Flomax. That also allows me 3 - 5 hours sleep without having to get up out of bed.

With that kinda load of drugs in my system it is a miracle that I haven't received a bon voyage letter from my liver.

Yeah, Z-Pac is great! Strong....but great!! Glad you are feeling better Pete. Watch those other meds with you blood pressure though...I think that Coricidin (sp?) makes an OTC med that is safe to take with hbp. I'm sure any pharmacist would know.

Damn expensive antibiotic, or it just seems that it is expensive........like $12 a pill.....but, then, I'm so old that I think that gasoline at $2.50 a gallon is expensive.
