Question

hello, my buddy who applied a month before I did for TDIU got his first letter saying they had denied the claim I advised hi to reapply so he did and they granted him 100%. I thought hid effective date should be the day he applied for the TDIU now they say it will be January 2009. I know he applied in 2008 in september can they do this to him? I also wanted to know hat my claim for TDIU is in a resource board as it was identified as a case that had everything with it but it was lagging behind anyone heard of the resource board? I was kind of pissed that the same office would deny his claim accept a nod and approve the ratting which I am glad for him that they ruled on his claim but I am sucking wind waiting for anything from the VA we live 3 miles apart and use the Same VA regional office. Any suggestions on anything sure would help. Thanks so much I am just kind of upset wth the regional office but what can I can Do other than sit and get a hobby? LOL Have a good day

Yes they can and they often do. At least he has 100%. He should appeal and spell out why he is entitled to an earlier effective date.
