Question...

When a Vet receives TDIU benefits, will all of his dependents also receive the Champa or any other full health insurance? Has anyone who was on TDIU, waited, and got their status automatically changed to P&T?

I think that like all VA benefits you have to request it if they did not give it to you

Just remember that ChampVA is *not* full health insurance coverage. There is no eye coverage, no dental coverage (I'm in a HUGE fight with them now about dental caused by a traumatic injury). It is insurance; but it has many, many loopholes.

You could be waiting for years for the VA to make you P&T. As soon as I got denied for Chapter 35 I would appeal. This is what I did and it took about a year for me to get P&T after I got TDIU. If I had waited I think I would still be waiting and that was 8 years ago.
