Question

Hello everyone. I am a combat vet and have recently went for my C&P exam for PTSD. I am curious as to what you all think these results may mean.

Axis I : Chronic Posttraumatic Stress Disorder

Axis II : None

Axis III : None

Axis IV : Psychosocial Stressors: Social Problems

Axis V : GAF Score is 48, reflecting the impact of posttraumatic stress disorder on his social and marital functioning

Any insight would be appreciated.

Is this all that your C&P exam said?

Too many ppl hinge everything on a GAF score. As I've said before, that score is a snapshot in time. It's how you were functioning when that doc saw you that day, that hour. Do you have a series of GAF scores that are similar? Or a series of appts with therapists that show the problems surrounding your PTSD symptoms? This would be most helpful evidence to submit for your claim.

No, that was just the diagnosis at the end. What other factors do you think will come into play? I am not sure what meaning the rest of the report has.
