Lumbar And Cervical Ddd Connection

Question

Is there anyone out there that has been rated SC for Lumbar Fusion as a result of Degenerative Disc Disease and then several years later was able to claim secondary aggravation of the cervical

spine from spread of DDD?

I had Lumbar surgery L4-L5 in 1996, as the result of a SC injury in 1995. Then fusion on the same joint in 1998, then followed by five cervical fusions over the next 8 years. Then another lumbar surgery in 2007 on L2-L3. I was discharged from service in Jan 1997 due to restrictions following surgery on spine. I know that DDD can spread to other joints and I'm not sure if cervical problem could be claimed as resulting from lumbar problem.

Any ideas???
