I am finding this site very helpful and interesting. It takes a little searching to find what you are looking for, but that is the fun of it I think. I am OIF I vet with 82nd ABN DIV. I am a service connected for cervical disk injury. I have a TBI claim in along with a few others and I am currently waiting for a rating. I found the reality of being a disabled veteran confusing and hard to proceed with a claim. The complex process of filing for benefits has gotten much easier once I learned how to navigate the system. There are many things that you need to know to successfully win a claim and you will not find much of it in directions anywhere. This site has helped fill in the gaps for me. Hopefully I will be able to give back in some areas although I have not found that to be the case yet.

Thank you for the help and advise.

bigoc,

Welcome to Hadit.

In Oct 2008 38 CFR - Part 4 - Schedule for Rating Disabilities made a dramatic

change in the way TBI is compensated under Diagnostic Code (DC) 8045.

Also lots of great information is listed on Hadit's homepage.

Hope this helps a vet.
